Want to know how you are trending with your Medicare Cap? Want to know a good estimate on where you will be at the end of the Cap year? Well, now you can have that information right at your finger tips. Follow the links below to either download the Cap Projection application on iTunes, or go to the web based Cap projection application.



Some additional information to help explain the entry fields on the application.

Current Hospice Cap Year: The Cap year we are currently in. The cap year starts September 28 each year (for example, the 2011 cap year started September 28, 2010).
Average Daily Medicare Census (Current Cap Year): This will be the average number of daily Medicare patients your Hospice has had since November 1 of this cap year.
Average Daily Medicare Reimbursement Rate (Current Cap Year): This will be your average daily reimbursement rate for your Hospice's Medicare patients since November 1 of this cap year.
1st Time Medicare Admits (Current Cap Year): This will be the number of 1st time Medicare admissions your Hospice has had since September 28 of this cap year.

After you click "Submit" you will see where your Hospice projects for the end of the Cap Year. Also, the results will show you the minimum number of 1st time Medicare admissions you need during the remainder of the Cap Year to avoid a Cap Liability.
